Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Pupful is a meditation app for iOS and Android provided by Hitaya Kollektiv ApS. These terms cover the Pupful app. Support and legal pages are hosted at pupful.app.

2. Eligibility & age

You must be 16 years or older to use Pupful. If you are under 16, you may not use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Not medical advice; no emergencies

Pupful offers short, guided periods of doing nothing: a timer, a recorded voice now and then, a small animated character, and the quiet company of a few other people.

• The Service does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional healthcare or mental health services.
• Using the Service does not create a therapist-patient or doctor-patient relationship.
• Other people in the Service are ordinary users, not professionals, and nothing they send you is advice.

4. Guests and accounts

You can start as a guest, with a generated name and hood. You can optionally save your account using an email and a one-time verification code. Your login identity may also be used with bebored, but new members join only the community they choose. Existing Bebored native users move into Pupful when they update the app.

Your Pupful community profile, practice history and social activity are separate from your bebored profile. Do not share your sign-in codes. You are responsible for access to your device and email inbox.

5. License & acceptable use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service;
• Reverse engineer or decompile the app except as permitted by law;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or circumvent security, rate limits or access controls;
• Use the Service in any unlawful manner;
• Harass other people, impersonate anyone, or attempt to identify, track or contact other users outside the Service.

6. Company, names, reactions and notes

Pupful has small social features. They are deliberately limited, and these limits are part of the Service:

• Rooms. While you have the app open you may be placed in a room with at most two other people who are also in the app. They see your pal, your pal’s name and, when available, a small flag for your approximate country. You see the same about them. You can switch on sit unseen in settings to be invisible to others.
• Waves and reactions. You can wave at someone who is awake, and after a session send one of a small, fixed set of reactions to people you actually overlapped with. Reactions are rate-limited and expire.
• Notes. After a session you can leave one of a fixed list of preset notes for whoever comes next. Notes are stored as the identifier of the preset you chose, together with your pal and name. There is no free-text chat in the Service; the pal name is the only text you type that others see.
• Names. Your pal’s name is shown to others. Names are validated and must not be offensive, misleading, impersonate another person, or contain personal data such as a phone number or email. We may reset a name that breaks these rules.
• Block and report. You can block or report any person from within the app. We may restrict or remove access for anyone who misuses these features.

Your progress, pal, chosen notes and reactions are your content within the Service. You remain responsible for the choices you make there. We do not actively monitor rooms, but we may access this data as needed for debugging, support, safety or legal reasons, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Voices and other content

The Service includes recorded guidance voices, artwork, characters and text. This content is owned by us or our licensors and is provided for use within the Service only.

On iOS and Android, recordings download before the selected session starts. An internet connection is required for the first download. Downloaded recordings can be reused offline while they remain in the device cache; your device may clear cached files. We may update recordings for future sessions. A session already prepared keeps its selected version.

8. Changes, availability & updates

We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, including features, content, or availability. Rooms depend on who else happens to be in the app; we do not promise that anyone else will be present. We may push updates, fixes, or new versions. Where required by law, we will provide notice of material changes to these Terms or the Service.

9. Free access

Pupful is currently fully free. Both voices, all sessions and community features are included. You can add five extra minutes in supported attention and relax sessions. Sleep sessions do not extend.

There is no paid Pass, subscription or in-app purchase in this release. If we introduce a paid offering in the future, we will explain its terms and price before you choose whether to buy it. You will not be charged automatically.

10. Notifications & communications

You can choose local practice reminders and optional founder-session notifications. You control notification permission in your device settings. Account verification emails are sent when requested. Social reactions do not interrupt a meditation with a push notification.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services, for example the Apple and Google app stores, hosting and database providers, push notification delivery and crash reporting. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies, in addition to ours. The Privacy Policy lists the categories of providers we use.

12. Intellectual property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (including text, graphics, characters, logos, audio, software, and content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Except for the license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.

13. Feedback

If you submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use and incorporate them without obligation or restriction.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that other people will be present or behave in any particular way.

15. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for intentional misconduct).

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for:

• Indirect or consequential losses;
• Loss of profits or data; or
• Any amount exceeding the greater of EUR 50 or the amounts you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.

16. Termination

In Pupful, open Settings, then your account, and choose delete account. You can also request deletion by emailing support@beboredapp.com, even if you no longer have the app installed. Use the subject Delete my Pupful account and send from the email connected to your account if you have one.

If you used a guest account, tell us that in your request. We may need information from the app to locate your guest identity and verify ownership. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or payment card details.

Deleting Pupful removes its community profile, preferences, practice history and associated social data from the active database. It disconnects its notification endpoints. Your bebored membership and data remain if you have them. The shared sign-in identity is removed only when no active membership remains; this external cleanup can take longer and is retried if a provider is unavailable.

Tell us explicitly if you want both Pupful and bebored deleted. We will confirm the scope before removing data from both services.

We retain limited deletion-operation and security records as described in the privacy policy. Pupful currently has no in-app purchases. Backup copies are not erased immediately. See the privacy policy for retention details.

You can request a copy of your data using download my data in the account settings, or by emailing us. We respond to rights requests within the applicable legal time limit.

17. Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring actions elsewhere as a consumer.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., in-app). Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
